Main Cabin Select two for one sale 2016

Six extra inches of legroom; complimentary food and drinks; one checked bag at no additional charge; plush leather seats; on-demand entertainment and games; and both priority security and priority boarding: who would not want all of those amenities when traveling on a domestic flight within the United States?

Better yet: what if those amenities were part of a sale where you can purchase two base fares for the price of one? Would you take advantage of an opportunity such as that?

Two Base Main Cabin Select Fares For the Price of One With Virgin America

That opportunity is available right now, as you have until tonight at 11:59 in the evening Pacific Daylight Time to purchase two base fares for the price of one in the Main Cabin Select class offered by Virgin America for travel between Tuesday, August 23, 2016 and Wednesday, October 5, 2016.

Tickets must be purchased at least seven days in advance; and you can only take advantage of this deal once.

The fare — which is not valid for any multi-city itineraries; cannot be transferred; cannot be combined with any other offers; and is not refundable — is valid on the following routes between:

  • OGG-SFO
  • DAL-SFO
  • DAL-LAX
  • DAL-LAS

  • LAS-LAX
  • LAS-SFO
  • LAX-SFO
  • SAN-SFO

Taxes and Fees

Tickets purchased from Virgin America through its reservation call center will cost an additional $20.00 per guest per itinerary. Any added cost associated with purchasing tickets from Virgin America through its reservation call center will not be refundable.

For all itineraries, changes or cancellations can occur for a $150.00 fee per passenger through all channels — plus any increase in fare — if applicable; with the exception of travel solely between points in the Continental Western Region — LAS, LAX, PDX, PSP, PVR, SAN, SEA, SFO and SJD only — as well as on the DAL-LAS and DEN-SFO routes, in which cases changes or cancellations can occur for a fee of $100.00 per passenger.

If travel is changed or cancelled, the promotion code discount will become invalid. Any remaining balance will be placed in your travel bank, good for travel on flights operated by Virgin America for one year from the date of issue. Passengers who “no-show” without a change or cancellation prior to the scheduled departure time will forfeit the amount of this fare. In addition, any future flights booked in the same reservation will also be canceled and the fare will be forfeited. Fares will not be honored retroactively or in exchange for any wholly or partially used ticket.

For Main Cabin Select, Virgin America will accept one piece of checked baggage up to a maximum of 50 pounds — or 22 kilograms — free of charge for each ticketed guest. The fee per guest for each additional checked bag up to a maximum of 50 pounds — or 22 kilograms — from the second bag to the tenth bag is $25.00. Additional fees apply to baggage exceeding these weight limitations, and other baggage restrictions may apply.

Fares, routes, fees and schedules are subject to change without notice.

Base fares do not include the following taxes and fees:

  • Passenger Facility Charges of up to $9.00 each way
  • September 11 Security Fees of up to $5.60 per one way trip, where each one-way trip may include a connection or stopover between two domestic flights not exceeding four hours
  • Federal Segment Tax of $4.00 per domestic segment

Other Terms and Conditions

The promotion code — which may not be redeemed for cash — applies to newly booked travel and may not be applied to prior bookings of flights; and it may only be used for bookings through the official Internet web site of Virgin America and is only valid on itineraries of exactly two passengers. The promotion code discount will be deducted off of the base fare; and it is not eligible for flights booked with the redemption of Elevate frequent flier loyalty program points.

A segment is comprised of a takeoff and landing; whereas a stopover is a break in travel of greater than four hours between two flights. Seats are limited; subject to availability; and may not be available on all flights.

Complimentary food and drinks excludes routes where the duration of the flight does not allow for food service.

On flights from SFO to SJD, both Satellite TV and Internet services are available for roughly one hour of the flight, but then unavailable for two hours. On flights from SFO and LAX to CUN and PVR, both services are available for over 3 hours, and then unavailable for 2 hours of flight. For guests traveling to Hawaii, WiFi service and Satellite TV are not currently available. In-flight internet fees and availability subject to change without notice at discretion of ViaSat, Inc. and Gogo LLC.

Summary

Considering the aforementioned amenities which are included with Main Cabin Select, this can potentially be a good deal if you wince at the thought of traveling in a typical seat in the economy class cabin…

…but you only have hours left to take advantage of this opportunity.
