When it comes to international travel, one of the things I hate is having to send away my passport for a visa. Because I live in Kansas, the nearest foreign consulates are 400+ miles away, so I can’t just drop off my passport on the way to work. I have to fill out the application, send it to a processing company (I use CIBT) and then wait for it to be processed by the consulate, sent back to CIBT and shipped back to me. If there are any delays with shipping, I can’t exactly go down and pick up my passport.. It’s stuck in limbo.
For those who live in the New York area, it just became a lot easier to get a Brazilian visa. Per the website for the Brazilian Consulate in New York City, appointments are no longer required for submitting visa applications.
