Hilton has announced that they will introduce keyless rooms beginning late Spring 2015. Hilton HHonors members staying at Hilton, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad and Canopy brands in the U.S. will soon be able to use a smartphone to access your room. Hilton introduced their mobile app last July, allowing members to check-in, select a room from a digital floorplan and request items to be ready upon arrival. Mobile room key technology will be rolled out in three phases beginning with a pilot program in early 2015 at 10 U.S. properties. By early spring keyless entry will be enabled at all U.S. Conrad properties and the rollout will continue across all four brands in the summer of 2015. Looking ahead to 2016, Hilton will continue the expansion to include keyless entry across Hilton’s network of 4,100 properties and 11 brands.
