Flyer Pet Peeve Polls

Flyer Pet Peeve Polls

Our Reader Meter this month asked frequent flyers about their pet peeves. It seems increased award cost is more of a bother than fuel surcharges on awards, and revenue-based programs are more of a bother than elite benefits eroding at the lower levels.

We weren’t the only ones asking flyers about their pet peeves. Expedia’s Airplane Etiquette Study found these top 10 aggravating onboard behaviors: rear seat kicker: cited by 67 percent of study respondents; inattentive parents: 64 percent; the aromatic passenger: 56 percent; the audio insensitive (talking or music): 51 percent; the boozer: 50 percent; chatty Cathy: 43 percent; carry-on baggage offenders: 39 percent; the armrest hog: 38 percent; seat-back guy (the seat recliner): 37 percent and the queue jumper (rushes to deplane): 35 percent.
