American Airlines is adding new routes to Europe, which means more ways to spend your miles to Europe. As of March 28, 2015, there will be a second daily flight between Los Angeles and London (LHR). Starting May 7, 2015, there will be a new daily flight between New York (JFK) and Birmingham and another between New York (JFK) and Edinburgh. Starting May 14, 2015, there will be a new flight between Miami and Frankfurt.

Bottom line: As with all new routes, it pays to book your award flights as soon as you can while availability is still good. These flights are already available for booking.
