New Expedia Cards

New Expedia Cards

Expedia+ members have two new options for earning Expedia+ rewards bonus points through co-branded credit cards. The Expedia+ card from Citi offers a signup bonus of 15,000 Expedia+ rewards points after a $1,000 spend in the first three months of account opening plus Expedia+ +silver status for each year that you own the card. Cardholders earn three Expedia+ bonus points for every dollar spent on eligible Expedia purchases (including flights, hotels, activities and vacation packages) and one point per dollar spent on all other purchases. The card has no annual fee and allows cardholders to earn +gold status faster by earning one elite-qualifying hotel night towards status qualification for every $2,500 in purchases on the card in a calendar year.

The new Expedia+ Voyager card has a signup bonus of 25,000 Expedia+ rewards points after a $2,000 spend in the first three months of account opening, automatic +gold status and earns four bonus points per dollar spent on Expedia purchases, two points per dollar spent on dining at restaurants and entertainment purchases and one point per dollar spent on all other purchases. The Voyager card has an annual fee of $95 but includes an annual $100 statement credit that can be used towards incidental fees on eligible airlines, WiFi carriers or for the application fee for Global Entry. There are no foreign transaction fees and the card also has an anniversary bonus of 5,000 points when you spend $10,000 on the card in the previous year.

Both cards include typical Citi benefits such as lost baggage protection, worldwide travel accident insurance and Citi Price Rewind. For more information on the cards, visit http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?11757 .

Bottom line: These cards are good for family travel–the person booking the hotel stays and flights get all the points for the bookings (family members will still get their own frequent flyer miles).
