The top airlines based on fewest canceled flights, on-time arrivals, mishandled bags, denied boardings and customer satisfaction as judged by Airfarewatchdog are: 1) Delta, 2) Virgin America, 3) Alaska, 4) JetBlue, 5) Frontier, 6) Southwest/Air Tran, 7) American/US Airways and 8) United. JetBlue came out on top for customer satisfaction, followed by Southwest/Air Tran, Delta, Alaska, Frontier, Virgin America, American/US Airways and United, in that order. Bottom line: It’s interesting to note Delta’s rise to the top from sixth place last year.
Last year, Frontier ranked #1 overall followed by Virgin America, JetBlue and Alaska. In the individual category for customer satisfaction, JetBlue placed first last year (as they did again this year).
