As of May 6, 2014, Alaska Mileage Plan members will be asked to spend more miles for travel on Delta Air Lines partner award flights. U.S. transcontinental and Canada business/first awards will be 65,000 miles, up from 50,000 miles. Coach flights to Hawaii from the lower 48 or Canada will be 45,000, up from 40,000. Flights to India, the Middle East and Africa will go up between 5,000 miles and 20,000 miles – from coach to Business Elite. Coach flights to Asia will go from 60,000 to 80,000 miles and Business Elite Asia flights from 120,000 to 140,000 miles; Business Elite to Europe from 100,000 to 125,000, plus other routes.
