Everyone loves San Francisco, which was a top destination for MileagePlus members this past summer. United Airlines published a list of its most popular destinations according to the number of Saver Awards members redeemed from United’s hub cities for travel between June 1 and Aug. 15, 2012. The most popular city was San Francisco, which was the top choice for members redeeming miles from Chicago, Denver, Washington D.C. and Newark. Residents of Cleveland preferred Los Angeles and Houston residents flew most often to Newark. Not surprisingly, Hawaii was also popular with travelers and was the top pick for residents of Los Angeles, who flew to Maui, and residents of Tokyo, who chose Honolulu. The top destination for Guam residents was Manila.
