LAN LANPASS non-elite members have only a few weeks to redeem kilometers for upgrades before the program changes its upgrade policy. All members of the LANPASS program can presently redeem kilometers to upgrade a paid ticket to the next higher class of service. Effective Nov. 1, 2012, only elite Comodoro, Premium Silver and Premium members of the LANPASS program will be able to redeem kilometers for upgrades, which will be available six months prior to the flight date, subject to availability.
