Amtrak travelers can now download an e-ticket to their iPhone or other mobile device to display when boarding the train. Customers can also choose to have an e-ticket emailed to them instead of printing their ticket at a kiosk or requesting it to be delivered by mail. Amtrak conductors began scanning eTickets from mobile devices on train routes nationwide on Aug. 1, 2012. Passengers can also print their e-ticket boarding pass at home or have them printed at the station kiosk.
