After years in the process, members of Marriott Rewards can now earn Ctrip points when staying at Marriott hotels. Ctrip.com is a China-based travel service provider of hotel accommodation, airline tickets and packaged tours in China. Ctrip members who join Marriott Rewards and elect to earn Ctrip points as their earning preference will earn double Ctrip points for their stays at any of the participating hotels globally through Nov. 15, 2012, up to a maximum 50,000 points. Marriott Rewards members choosing Ctrip points will earn 10 or 20 points per $1 spent at the various Marriott hotel brands. You can also convert Marriott Rewards points to Ctrip points (10,000 Marriott Rewards points equals 20,000 Ctrip points). Ctrip members can use their Ctrip points to redeem for free hotel stays, flights and a variety of merchandise as well as donate to China Green Foundation or Project HOPE.
