American Airlines has added additional airline partners to its online award booking tool. The airline added Alaska Airlines earlier this year and now AAdvantage members can search for and book awards on Hawaiian Airlines and British Airways online. American charges a $25 phone ticketing fee when booking awards over the phone, even when making reservations for flights that can’t be booked online. Now, members won’t have to pay the phone fee for flights on Hawaiian Airlines and British Airways when you’re able to find the flights you need online. When searching for partner awards, be sure to select “AA+ AAdvantage Participating Airlines” under Carrier Preferences at the bottom of the flight search page. American is working to include more airline partners for award booking online in the coming months.
