Starwood Preferred Guest has launched a new website that features all of SPG’s restaurants and bars. The site is useful to SPG members who earn points when dining at participating dining locations. Members earn two points per dollar spent on food and beverage charges over $10 (excluding alcohol where prohibited by law), regardless of whether they are staying at the hotel. Until June 30, 2012, SPG members can also receive discounts when dining at participating locations. Visit http://www.spgrestaurantsandbars.com and type in your destination city. You will see a list of all the SPG restaurants and bars in the area, a description of the venue and type of cuisine and any discounts. For example, Shula’s Steak House at the Westin New York at Times Square and the BLT Bar & Grill at the W New York — Downtown are both offering a 10 percent discount for a limited time. Not all restaurants and bars are offering discounts to members, but many are. You will need to provide a valid SPG member card when dining to receive the discount. The discount will not apply to breakfast, alcoholic beverages, taxes, service charges and gratuities.
