InterContinental Hotels Group has launched a new hotel brand designed to appeal to health-conscious travelers who want to eat healthy and maintain their exercise routine while traveling. The new EVEN Hotel brand aims to offer guests amenities that will satisfy their needs for exercise, healthy food, work and rest. Guest rooms will offer adequate space for in-room workouts and creative exercise equipment, such as a coat rack that can also be used as a pull up bar. Each hotel will also feature a well-equipped gym and group exercise activities. Healthy and nutritious food will be available on the menu and guests can enjoy free coffee and mini-smoothies in the morning. Guest rooms will have roomy desks with adequate work space, high speed WiFi and multimedia ports. The location of the first EVEN Hotel will be announced in the second quarter of 2012 and look for the first EVEN Hotel to open in the beginning of 2013. IHG expects to open 100 EVEN Hotels within the next five years.
