The Loyalty Traveler blog recently mentioned the latest numbers from Hilton Hotels. Hilton says its the fastest growing hotel group with 29 percent room growth over the past five years, adding 950 hotels to its portfolio since June 2007. Another 860 hotels are in development, and in the U.S., Hilton has more hotel rooms than any other chain. Globally, Hilton has 633,000 rooms–making it the world’s largest hotel chain by rooms. Hilton HHonors reached 30 million members in 2011 when 3.5 million joined in 2011 alone.
