Recently, members of Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan noticed that on the Alaska website, for each of Alaska’s elite qualifying miles earning partners, a note had been placed that class of service bonuses do not count toward elite status accrual. This caused a brief panic from Mileage Plan members across the Internet until Alaska’s missydarlin, Communications Coordinator, announced, “The information was published on the website in error due to some miscommunication between loyalty marketing and the website.” She continued to calm members by saying, “Nothing has changed, and nor are they planned.”
