Richard Lois Williams, 23 of Savannah, Georgia is out on bail after being charged in an airline miles and identity theft scheme. According to the Savannah Morning News, Williams was indicted for using stolen identities of Delta SkyMiles and American AAdvantage members to purchase airline tickets, hotel rooms and merchandise between October and June.

He bought American Airlines tickets for himself and others using the stolen identities of American AAdvantage members. He received 10 $100 Macy’s gift cards, eight Dillard’s gift cards and a $50 Foot Locker gift card on Oct. 9, 2010, by using a stolen identity and a Delta SkyMiles account number. He also used another frequent flyer number to obtain 10 $250 Macy’s gift cards, five $100 Dillard’s gift cards and three $100 Foot Locker gift cards on Nov. 4, 2010, the indictment charges.

He was indicted on one count of conspiracy, one count of access device fraud, two counts of mail fraud and four counts of aggravated identity theft. According to another news report, the charges carry a fine of up to $250,000 per count.
