Thai Airways has added a new invitation-only elite tier to the Royal Orchid Plus program. The Platinum elite level is the new exclusive category that is above the next highest elite level, Gold, and is reserved for Thai Airways top flyers and most loyal customers. To be eligible, Platinum members must earn at least 50,000 miles per year or fly a minimum of 40 international Thai Airways flights and fly regularly in Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class. Platinum members will receive all of the benefits of Silver and Gold members plus a waiver of Royal Orchid Plus service fees, miles that don’t expire and complimentary upgrades, among other benefits.
