Etihad Airways will be introducing onboard chefs to cook dishes to order for their Diamond first class passengers, beginning in October 2011. Airline food is normally prepared beforehand and reheated during the flight but first class passengers on Etihad will be served food that has been specially prepared onboard. Etihad Guest members can redeem miles for first class flights and enjoy a gourmet meal during their flight. For example, a roundtrip flight in first between Abu Dhabi and London is 120,000 miles, New York is 210,000 miles and Sydney is 195,000 miles.
