Frontier Fee Changes – May, 17 2011

Frontier Airlines has lowered some fees and made some other customer-friendly policy changes. Summit-level EarlyReturns members and ClassicPlus ticket holders can now make name changes to their tickets at no charge and travelers on Classic and economy tickets can make name changes for $50.

Travelers on Classic tickets can make advance changes to their flights at no charge, while the fee for same-day confirmed flight changes on Classic tickets will be reduced to $25 from $50. The change fee for economy fares will be reduced to $50 from $100.

Passengers who check in online will receive a $5 discount on the checked bag fee on economy fares. Elite members and guests traveling on Classic and Classic Plus fares can continue to check two bags at no charge.

Also changing is the bicycle policy. Bicycles are now included in the standard baggage allowance and travelers who receive free checked bags can check a bicycle as one of their first two checked bags. Economy passengers can bring a bike along for $20, if it is one of their first two checked bags. Visit http://www.insideflyer.com/link/?4511 for more information about the changes.
