Continental Elite Status Match

Continental Elite Status Match

We recently wrote about a US Airways’ elite status match. Continental OnePass is also offering an elite status match and challenge for members. Through the end of the year, top-tier flyers of most other airlines can status match to OnePass. Your OnePass account will be upgraded for 90 days to Silver, Gold or Platinum Elite status based on the level you hold in your current frequent flyer program. To keep Elite status through the balance of the 2011 program year, you’ll need to complete a specific number of flights operated by Continental, Continental Express, Continental Connections, United or United Express within the 90-day timeframe.

The number of flights you must complete depends on the elite level you are matched to. For example, to match to Platinum level, you’ll need to fly 35,000 elite qualifying miles or 40 elite qualifying segments on the airlines listed above to retain Platinum Elite status (for Silver, you’ll need 10,000 EQM or 15 EQS and for Gold, 17,500 EQM or 22 EQS). Customers who meet the flight requirements on or after July 1, 2011, will retain their matched elite status through Jan. 31, 2013, unless a higher Elite level is earned. Visit http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?4356 to learn how to submit your request. The offer is not valid for members who have participated in Continental’s Elite status match program within the last five years.

Bottom line: Before you sign up for a status match, it would be a good idea to line up your required travel within the next 90 days to get the full benefit of this offer.
