FlyerTalk.com has teamed up with American Express to launch Top Flyer. Accessed through FlyerTalk, the site offers one winner per month 5,000 Membership Rewards points or a $25 American Express Card. To win, you must post a useful tip, video or photo from your flying experiences and others in the community will “like” what you post. At the end of the month, the top 10 participating members with the most points from members “liking” your posts can choose between the points or gift card. A participant can only obtain Top Flyer status five times within a 12-month period and there are a few other rules such as you can’t “like” your own post and you can “like” any post only once. If there’s a tie, the person who submitted the most videos that month that received at least one “like” will be the winner. Top Flyer participants earn points according to what they post. For example, a comment earns one point for one “like”, a photograph two points, article and text content earns three points and a video earns four points.
