AAdvantage 75,000 Bonus Miles

AAdvantage 75,000 Bonus Miles

Through Feb. 28, 2011, new Citi / AAdvantage cardmembers can earn 75,000 bonus miles when you sign up for the Citi Platinum Select / AAdvantage Visa Signature card, Citi Select / AAdvantage American Express card or CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Visa card and make $4,000 in purchases within the first six months. Other benefits include a companion certificate that can be used for free airfare for a companion when you purchase a roundtrip domestic ticket of at least $299 with your Citi AAdvantage card. And you’ll receive one mile per dollar spent on all purchases and have access to mileage awards to select destinations every quarter at a discount of 7,500 miles.

Unless you are an elite member, the maximum miles you can earn with the personal cards is 100,000 per year, and 150,000 miles per year is the maximum for the business card. The annual fee is waived for the first year on all three cards. Apply at http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?3531

Bottom line: You can earn enough miles for a coach roundtrip ticket to Europe when you sign up for any of these cards. Sign up for all three, and you can earn 225,000 miles, enough for two roundtrip business class tickets to Europe. After the first 12 months, the annual fee on each card is $85 ($75 for the CitiBusiness Visa). You will have to spend $4,000 in purchases within six months to earn the mileage bonus, which works out to about $667 per month. If you want a lower spending threshold, there are other offers available earning 50,000 miles instead of 75,000 miles. To learn more about these offers, call (800) 546-0154. Note that there is no double miles for purchasing American Airlines tickets, only the usual mile per dollar spent.
