Continental Airlines has added two new in-flight discounts for cardholders. Continental OnePass members who pay with any Continental Airlines Chase MasterCard credit or debit card for select beverages or DIRECTV service will receive a $2 discount. The select beverage discount applies to Red Bull, Stirrings Mojito and Stirrings Pomegranate Martini, in addition to purchases of beer, wine, spirits and liqueurs.

Bottom line: A $2 discount is small potatoes in the world of airline fees and it won’t effect first class passengers who receive complimentary beverages and DIRECTV service at no charge, but passengers who regularly purchase alcoholic drinks and DIRECTV service can now save $8 per roundtrip flight, on top of the $50 they are already saving in roundtrip baggage fees for one checked bag as a cardholder.
