Delta Air Lines has launched two new credit cards for residents of Canada. The co-branded SkyMiles credit cards are issued by Capital One and Canadian members can choose between the Delta SkyMiles World MasterCard and Delta SkyMiles Gold MasterCard. When you apply for the World MasterCard, you’ll earn 25,000 bonus miles after your first purchase and another 2,500 bonus miles when you add an authorized user to your account and an additional 2,500 bonus miles every year on your account anniversary. You’ll also receive two miles per CA$1 spent on Delta purchases and one mile per CA$1 spent on all other purchases. The Delta SkyMiles World MasterCard has a CA$120 annual fee plus a CA$49 annual fee per authorized user.

If you prefer a card with no annual fee, the Delta SkyMiles Gold MasterCard is free to use but you will earn only half as many miles on everyday purchases and a 2,500 mileage bonus with your first purchase. The Gold MasterCard earns one mile per CA$1 spent on Delta and one mile per CA$2 spent on all other purchases. You will not receive an annual bonus or additional miles for adding an authorized user. Both cards also come with other standard features, such as travel accident insurance, car rental insurance and baggage delay coverage. If your checked baggage is delayed for more than four hours at your destination, you may be eligible for up to CA$100 per day for up to three days if you paid for your ticket with your SkyMiles Capital One credit card. The Delta SkyMiles credit cards are not available to residents of Quebec, Northwest Territories, Nunavut or Yukon.
