The Freddie Awards are no longer, but another group has stepped in to determine the best in frequent travel loyalty programs and travelers will have the chance to vote on their favorites. Between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15, 2010, voters will determine the best in five categories: best airline and hotel promotion for redemption, best promotion for earning, best redemption ability, best elite level program and best loyalty credit card. A sixth award will recognize the overall best airline and hotel Program of the Year in each of three geographical regions. Go to http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?2855 to vote. The first Frequent Traveler Awards Ceremony will be held at the Sheraton North Houston at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston on Nov. 4, 2010. Industry representatives and frequent travelers from around the world are expected to attend.
