BBB Ratings and Airlines

BBB Ratings and Airlines

We recently ran across an interesting thread on FlyerTalk.com that pointed out that Continental Airlines has an “F” rating on the Better Business Bureau Web site. Yes, a big fat “F”. According to the site, the airline received an “F” for “Failure to respond to 17 complaints filed against business; 90 complaints filed against business that were not resolved and Government action(s) against business.” Southwest Airlines has an “A+”, United an “A” rating, US Airways an “A-“, American Airlines a “B” rating and Delta does not have a rating on the site.

Bottom line: We are by no means stating that these findings in any way indicate the quality of service of these airlines or their frequent flyer programs but it’s interesting to see the wide differences in ratings between the airlines and it certainly led to a lively discussion on FlyerTalk.com, which you can follow here: http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?2809
