Lufthansa has redesigned its MySkyStatus Web site and users can now automatically link status updates with their email and social network accounts including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. It also allows users to see where other MySkyStatus users are traveling to and provides more customization to allow users to tell their travel stories. “Social networking is the next great industry influencer as it allows users to connect and share at any time, from anywhere–including at 30,000 feet, thanks to MySkyStatus,” notes Nicola Lange, Director of Marketing and Customer Relations, the Americas at Lufthansa. “We developed MySkyStatus 2.0 with input from travelers who are charting their own course online–and we are thrilled to help them navigate.”
Since its launch, MySkyStatus has sent over 150,000 status updates, had 300,000 visitors, engaged travelers from 191 countries and generated over 81,000 Google search results. A mobile-friendly version is also available, enabling MySkyStatus users to post regular updates about their travel plans from the road. Visit http://www.myskystatus.com – The service is free.
