Hotel Mileage Promos

Hotel Mileage Promos

Hotel loyalty programs are putting on the charm and enticing frequent flyers with special offers of bonus miles to fill up hotel rooms this summer. You don’t have to fly to gain some serious mileage. We’ve rounded up the miles deals for hotel stays below.

Free Flight with Hyatt

Hyatt Gold Passport members can earn up to 25,000 bonus American AAdvantage miles, enough for a free roundtrip domestic flight. Registration is required and members can earn 3,000 bonus miles per stay at any Hyatt property worldwide on up to five stays through July 5, 2010. On your fifth stay, you’ll receive an additional 10,000 bonus miles. Register online or call (800) 228-3360 and request promotion code AA25K. To earn the miles, you must choose AAdvantage miles as your earning preference and pay an eligible rate. The bonus miles are in addition to the miles you would normally earn (500 miles per stay) so you can earn a total of 27,500 miles with five stays. For more information and to register, visit http://www.webflyer.com/link/?2493

Bottom line: This promotion can be combined with Hyatt’s Big Welcome Back Promotion where members can earn a free night or 5,000 bonus points per stay through June 30. Members who register for the bonus miles and free night promotions can earn 28,000 bonus miles and three free nights after completing six stays.

Wyndham American

Wyndham Rewards members can earn up to 13,500 American AAdvantage miles for stays at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Wingate by Wyndham or Hawthorn Suites through Sept. 30, 2010. Members who book stays at qualifying rates at wyndham.com/aa will earn 3,000 bonus miles when they complete three separate stays in addition to the miles normally earned for hotel stays. Guests at Hawthorn Suites and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts earn 500 miles per stay and will earn a total of 4,500 miles with the bonus after three stays. To earn the maximum 13,500 miles, members will need to complete nine stays at participating properties. Guests at Wingate normally earn two miles per $1 spent so the total amount earned will vary according to the room rate. You must choose American AAdvantage miles as your earning preference in your member profile before your first stay for this promotion. One stay includes all consecutive nights at the same hotel, regardless of check-ins or check-outs. You must be a Wyndham Rewards member to participate in the promotion and registration is not required. Visit http://www.wyndham.com/aa for more information.

Bottom line: Wyndham’s AAdvantage promotion requires more stays and isn’t as lucrative as Hyatt’s, but it is valid until Sept. 30 whereas Hyatt Gold Passport members only have until July 5 to earn AAdvantage miles.

Sheraton and AAdvantage

Starwood Preferred Guest members can earn 1,000 bonus American AAdvantage miles for stays at Sheraton hotels within North America (United States, Canada and the Caribbean) through July 31, 2010. Registration is required at http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?2501. The bonus mile offer is in addition to the SPG Free Weekend promotion where members can earn a free weekend night award for every three stays at SPG properties through July 31, 2010.

60,000 SkyMiles with Marriott Stays

Delta SkyMiles members can earn 5,000 bonus miles per qualifying Marriott stay from May 1 to Sept. 6, 2010, beginning with your second stay. You must register to earn the bonus miles and the maximum bonus you can earn through the promotion is 60,000 miles. The bonus miles will be awarded in addition to the Marriott Rewards base mileage offer. You must elect to earn miles in Delta SkyMiles in your Marriott Rewards “My Account” page. Visit http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?2477 to register. If the registration link doesn’t work, log in to your account and set your earning preference to Delta SkyMiles.

Bottom line: Members can earn the 5,000-mile bonus 12 times and have until the beginning of September to rack up the miles.

Hyatt and Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

Hyatt Gold Passport members can earn 4,500 miles (750 base plus 3,750 bonus miles) per stay for stays of two consecutive nights or more at any Hyatt worldwide at an eligible rate through July 31, 2010. Registration required at http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?2500. Be sure to request Flying Club miles as your earning preference.

Bottom line: Again, this promotion can be combined with Hyatt’s Big Welcome Back Promotion.
