American AAdvantage members residing in the U.K. can now earn miles with the new AAdvantage American Express card from MBNA. New cardmembers will earn 5,000 miles for spending #250 within the first 90 days of opening an account plus three miles per #1 spent on fuel, groceries and American Airlines purchases during the first six months. The regular earning rate for purchases is 1.5 miles for every #1 spent on the card. Cardholders will also receive an introductory 0 percent interest rate on all American Airlines flights purchased during the first 12 months and a 0 percent rate on balance transfers and money transfers for six months.
