Illegal Miles

Illegal Miles

A Dutch man is under investigation for scamming more than 5.6 million frequent flyer miles worth around 134,000 euro ($190,000). The AP reports that German police were notified by an airline employee about the man who had an unusually high number of bonus miles in his account. They said he had been using fake boarding passes and requesting the airlines to add miles to his account. The airline(s) in question were not divulged. While airlines routinely post missing miles to accounts of members who provide valid boarding passes, we don’t recommend you falsify documents to pad your account balance–there’s not much you can do with millions of miles if you end up behind bars.
