The Northeast Regional provides service along the Northeast Corridor between Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington and ends in Lynchburg, Va. The free trip is valid for coach class travel on the Northeast Regional from June 1, 2010 through Aug. 31, 2010. You will be notified via email of your free trip so check your Amtrak Guest Rewards profile to make sure you have opted in to receive emails. A maximum of eight free roundtrips may be earned and you can only complete two qualifying trips per day (two roundtrips or two one-ways).
Amtrak is also offering a free trip on the Acela Express for members who complete three roundtrips (or six one-ways) through March 13, 2010. Register using code 10710. A minimum spend of $85 per one-way or $170 roundtrip is required and the free trip is valid for Acela business class travel from June 1 through Aug. 31, 2010. Restrictions apply on weekday travel times for the free trip.
For Guest Rewards members who spend $50 for travel through March 31, 2010 on the Hiawatha, the Lincoln Service, Illini Service, the Carl Sandburg, Missouri River Runner, the Illinois Zephyr, the Saluki, the Hoosier State or the Pere Marquette (on one or a combination of routes), you’ll earn 1,000 bonus points, up to a maximum of 4,000 bonus points. Travelers on the West Coast can earn 1,000 bonus points for spending $50 on the Pacific Surfliner, Capitol Corridor or San Joaquin for travel through March 31, 2010. Registration is required using code 11010. A maximum of 4,000 bonus points may be earned.
