According to Bill Marriott’s blog, generated over six billion dollars in revenue for Marriott in 2008 and over eight percent of visits to the Web site result in bookings. To make the Web site even more user-friendly, Marriott has updated its online presence with a new look and changes meant to make searching and navigation easier.

The search box is now prominently displayed smack dab in the middle of the home page where visitors can quickly find a hotel, meeting space or deal.

When searching for deals, members can limit the search to include only member exclusive rates, points/miles offers, partner offers and non-Marriott Reward deals. Marriott Rewards members can now access their account information from each page of the site by clicking My Account located in the top right corner of every page. Also new for Marriott Rewards members is a Promotion Central page where you can track your progress in your registered promotions. You can also view new promotions you might be interested in and Marriot Rewards exclusive offers from Promotion Central. Bill Marriott says to be on the lookout for “even more enhancements, including more information about our brands, hotels, room rates and packages.”
