As of Jan. 1, Starwood Preferred Guest members who choose to earn airline miles for SPG stays will now earn two miles per eligible dollar spent instead of the previous flat earning rate of either 250 or 500 miles per stay. Additionally, stays and nights will count toward SPG elite status, a new development.
