AA Comes to You

American Airlines is testing out a new way for employees to check passengers’ bags at Boston Logan Airport. The airline is providing 20 employees with Your Assistance Delivered Anywhere, or YADA devices, that will allow employees to check bags, provide gate information, flight times and boarding status while passengers are standing in line at the check-in counter or anywhere else in the building. The airline plans to add functionality to the devices, including being able to print boarding passes and make seating upgrades. If the six-week test run is successful the airline may decide to introduce the mobile devices at additional airports.
