Recently, an unaccompanied minor, a 10-year-old flying from Boston to Cleveland to visit her grandparents, was accidentally flown by Continental Airlines to Newark, NJ instead. To make it up to the child and her parents and grandparents, the cost of the original flight was refunded and the child and grandparents received some first class flights. And the child and her parents have been upgraded to Silver OnePass elite until February. Said the father on his blog, “I doubt we’re going to be flying much between now and then, so the frequent flyer upgrade doesn’t really mean all that much, but it’s nice that they offered something extra.”
