Southwest Airlines’ planned codeshare with Canada’s WestJet has been postponed with no definite start date. The partnership was scheduled to begin later this year, but Southwest said that it is focusing its attention on dealing with the current recession. The partnership is now running a year later than planned, into 2010. Southwest is also planning to codeshare with Mexico’s Volaris Airlines, which should also come about in 2010.
