Last month, Frontier Airlines announced a change to award tickets. Before the change, when redeeming 20,000 miles for a free roundtrip flight, members would receive a Classic ticket that comes with advance seat assignments (available when booking), two free checked bags and complimentary DIRECTV onboard.

Now, when you redeem your 20,000 miles, you will get an Economy ticket and two free checked bags–no free DIRECTV and seat assignments are available only at online check-in within 24 hours of your departure or at an airport kiosk. EarlyReturns CHOICE+ awards, available for elite members only, will be treated as Classic tickets.
