Red Lion Lines Up for Pets

Red Lion is showing just how pet friendly a hotel chain can be with their new Pets Stay Free campaign. All Red Lion Hotels accept pets for a $20 per stay fee, but now, members of Red Lion R&R Club will get the fee waived as a benefit of membership in the loyalty program. And through the new R&R Club Pet Membership, pet owners can add their pets to their R&R Club account and each time their pet stays with them, the pet owner will get 500 bonus points added to their account. You don’t have to register for the R&R Club Pet Membership to get the $20 fee waived–but most will opt to join for that extra 500 points per stay.

When you check in for your stay, the front desk will have a Red Lion R&R Club Pet Registration card that includes a Red Lion collar tag that allows guests to fill in the pet name and phone number. Customers and their furry friends can also look forward to a pet check-in amenity bag that includes a pet door hanger, pack of kibbles for dogs or cats and two “waste collector bio-bags” or one litter box liner.

Red Lion is also teaming up with the Association for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) through a fundraising and awareness campaign highlighted in hotels and at the new social media Web site, whereintheworldisred.com.

A free night’s stay at Red Lion Hotels is 10,000 points, so your furry friend who stays with you for 20 stays will get you a free night’s stay. Or you might opt for a $10 Costco or Nordstrom cash card for 5,000 points and 10 pet stays (we’re not counting the points you would earn for your stay–only your pets).
