Northwest WorldPerks Visa

Northwest WorldPerks Visa

If you were hoping to sign up for the Northwest WorldPerks Visa to earn a hefty mileage sign-up bonus before the card disappears because of the Delta merger you are out of luck. Northwest WorldPerks members can no longer sign up for the co-branded credit card. Delta’s credit card contract went to American Express and US Bank is no longer accepting applications for the WorldPerks Visa.

US Bank will be offering a new travel rewards card beginning in May. The new card is not linked to any loyalty program and will offer points for purchases. Cardholders will be able to redeem 20,000 points for free award travel on more than 150 airlines. Cardmembers will also receive up to a $20 airline allowance with every award ticket that can be used for baggage fees, in-flight food or drinks and double points on gas, grocery or airline purchases, depending on the category in which you spend the most each month. Current Northwest WorldPerks credit cardmembers will automatically be enrolled in the new program and they will keep their same number. WorldPerks Visa cardmembers who sign up between now and May 15, 2009 at http://insideflyerus.wpengine.com/link/?1505 to receive updates on the WorldPerks Visa will receive 500 bonus miles for registering your email address.
