Make-A-Wish Upon Your Miles

Make-A-Wish Upon Your Miles

We occasionally run across stories such as the one we recently read on the Ventura County Star Web site. Make-A-Wish Foundation chapters rely on frequent flyers to donate their miles to be used to help grant wishes. In the case of California’s Central Coast, the foundation needs about 12 million miles a year to grant the wishes. The foundation can accept any amount of donated miles from AirTran Airways, Continental Airlines or Northwest Airlines. Other airlines are accepted, but there are restrictions on the amounts. For more information about donating your miles to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Tri-Counties, call Shanna Wasson Taylor at (559) 676-9474, ext. 4. If you have miles you would like to donate, you may contact your local Make-A-Wish chapter at http://www.wish.org
