Delta Air Lines has announced a marketing and frequent flyer partnership with Midwest Airlines that will start later this year. Midwest currently partners with Northwest and this new partnership with Delta is the result of the Delta/Northwest merger. The addition of Delta’s destinations will add 379 cities available for Midwest Miles members for award flights. The agreement will also open up Delta Sky Clubs for members of Midwest. As part of the Delta/Northwest merger, Delta Crown Room Clubs and Northwest WorldClubs are currently all being rebranded as Delta Sky Clubs. A codeshare agreement between Midwest and Delta is expected to be completed in June 2009 but no exact date has been issued for the frequent flyer partnership.
