A new Best Western hotel brand, Atrea, is expected to open this month in San Antonio. Atrea hotels will feature loft-style guest rooms with multimedia features, free wireless Internet access and a multi-function lobby where guests can enjoy a drink or light meal, watch TV or have a casual meeting. Atrea hotels are designed to compete with upper midscale hotels such as Hyatt Place, Courtyard by Marriott and Cambria Suites. The first Atrea hotel is in southwest San Antonio’s Westside Park area and another location, in Conyers, Ga. in suburban Atlanta, will follow later this spring. Members of Best Western Rewards will earn points or miles at the same rate at Atrea hotels as the other Best Western hotels, 10 points per dollar spent or 250 miles per stay.
