Note to Marriott elite members–be sure to bring sufficient cash with you on your next trip. Effective April 1, 2009, elite Marriott Rewards members will no longer be able to cash checks at Marriott hotels. Although the check cashing privilege elite members have enjoyed for years is not a major benefit, many elite members liked having the option to cash a check instead of paying excessive ATM fees to withdraw money.
