As of Jan. 1, 2009 mileage requirements for award travel on Thai in Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class will increase in zones 4 to 7. The amounts needed for roundtrip awards range from 13,000 more miles for flights in zone 4 (to destinations in Australia and Moscow) in Royal Silk Class to 45,000 more miles for zone 7 flights (between the U.S. and destinations in Australia, Europe and South America). Upgrade and one-way awards will also increase in some zones. Award travel on Thai in economy class and Premium economy class in all zones remains unchanged.
