B&Bs Lure Business Travelers

It’s a growing trend–bed and breakfast establishments are out to get repeat visits from business travelers by offering frequent stay programs. BedandBreakfast.com, which lists about 18,000 of an estimated 20,000 B&Bs, inns and guest houses in the U.S., estimates that 1,500 to 1,800 offer their own frequent-stay program or participate in one with other B&Bs. And BedandBreakfast.com plans to start its own program in 2009.

According to a survey of B&B inns by BedandBreakfast.com, 93 percent of B&Bs offer free WiFi, 75 percent have desks in some rooms, 70 percent have copy and fax machines, 68 percent have flexible cancellation policies and 96 percent allow late check-in and early breakfast.
