It’s that time of year again–time to write out your holiday shopping list and shop online to maximize the number of bonus miles you can earn from mileage malls. To entice members to complete their shopping through their mileage malls, many programs are once again offering bonus miles and points.

Aeroplan members will earn triple miles for purchases made at select Aeroplan eStore merchants between Dec. 1 and Dec. 31, 2008. Participating stores include Land’s End, Sony Style,, Dell and Avon, to name a few. Start shopping at

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members can earn double miles at 10 participating merchants through Jan. 15, 2008, including, Harry and David, Apple Store and Eddie Bauer.

From now until Dec. 31, 2008, American AAdvantage members can earn double miles for online shopping with 21 select merchants, including Gap, Home Depot, Dell, Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma. In addition to the bonus miles, you’ll receive a $25 MasterCard gift card when spending $500 (excluding tax and shipping) with a MasterCard. The offer is only available on purchases at participating merchants made through the AAdvantage eShopping mall at – There is a limit of one $25 MasterCard gift card per household.

United Mileage Plus is offering shoppers up to 2,000 bonus miles for purchases made at 20 participating stores, including Sears, Macy’s, Williams-Sonoma and Dell. Spend between $500 and $749 at participating merchants to earn 1,000 bonus miles and spend between $740 and $999 to earn 1,500 bonus miles. The bonus miles cap out at 2,000 bonus miles for spending $1,000 or more. The required spending does not include tax and shipping charges and the bonus miles are earned in addition to your regular mileage mall earning. Marriott Rewards members can earn double points for online shopping at the Marriott Rewards Mall from now until Dec. 31, 2008. There are 22 merchants participating in the bonus offer, including REI, Victoria’s Secret, Walmart and Dell. Only transactions by Marriott Rewards members made through the Marriott Rewards mall will qualify to earn double points and the bonus will not apply to taxes, shipping and handling fees. There are a few store specific exclusions, such as iPhones purchased at the Apple store are not eligible to earn points and most gift cards and gift certificates are also exempt. Go to

Be sure to check your program’s mileage mall to see if they are offering any special holiday promotions. You can also go to and search for stores that participate in your loyalty program’s mileage mall.
