United Airlines first and business class passengers will now be treated to Westin-branded products and amenities in-flight such as blankets and pillows from the Westin Heavenly range, towelettes scented with the Westin signature white tea fragrance, mints and custom video and music. Westin is also providing amenities at United’s Red Carpet Club airport lounges in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Called Renewal lounges, the lounges feature amenities such as a LED candle wall, plush furniture, white tea fragrance, healthy snacks, video montages of nature scenes and a jet lag light, which refreshes travelers within 20 minutes under its blue light.
To help celebrate this extended partnership, United Mileage Plus members can earn double miles (1,000 bonus miles) for stays at select Westin Hotels until Dec. 31, 2008.
