Starwood’s newest W Hotel is opening in Istanbul, the brand’s first European location. Located among the restored 1870 Akaretler Row houses in the trendy Besiktas district, the property features 134 guest rooms, including suites and duplex suites, many with their own private gardens, terraces or cabanas. Jean-Georges Vongerichten is the renowned chef of the W’s Spice Market, a posh restaurant serving Southeast Asian cuisine. The W Istanbul is a Category 5 hotel and SPG members can redeem between 12,000 and 16,000 Starpoints for a free night’s stay.
